Dr Sanjay Raj Anand was born in Pune (MH) and raised in the Madhya Pradesh State in Central India. Ancestrally from Gujarat, he returned to his state when he joined his higher studies in Department of Genetics at the Veterinary College, Anand Agriculture University after completing his BVSc & A.H. (Hons) from Veterinary College, MHOW.
A Veterinarian with Excellent academic track record, Dr. Anand won four gold medals during his B.V.Sc & A.H. (Animal Husbandry). He was recipient of the ICAR Junior fellowship in Animal Breeding for his M.V.Sc. program and won the Hari Ohm Ashram award for commendable work in Poultry Breeding as a co-worker. He completed his Masters’ in Poultry Breeding.
He started a career in Academics and has performed various roles in the poultry industry including marketing, sales, technical service, training and consultancy over the last 31years. Dr. Anand has extensive knowledge of the poultry markets in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. He maintains good personal and professional rapport with several key customers including Breeders, Broiler Integrators and Commercial Layer Farmers. Dr Anand has handled complex cases in disease and management aspects in poultry involving more than 50 different etiologies and has a record of flawless delivery of results.
Dr. Anand has unparalleled expertise in the diagnosis, treatment and control of poultry disease. Today he is renowned among the best poultry disease specialists in Industry circles of South Asia. He has been awarded the “BEST TECHINCAL SERVICE PROVIDER IN POULTRY INDUSTRY for 2013” at the Poultry Fortune Awards.
He was also the recipient of ‘The Best Poultry Veterinarian 2015 by the Indian Poultry Journalists Association’
In Sept 2015 the Ministry of Agriculture; Government of India has recognized his efforts and has awarded him with the prestigious BEST POULTRY VETERINARIAN AWARD for his significant contribution in identification and control of Poultry diseases in India and South Asia.
Dr Anand is currently a Director in Anand Animal Health Pvt. Ltd. The Company specializes in Poultry Diagnostics. Besides he is also associated with Anand Broiler Breeders and Anand Cattle and Poultry Feeds.
Dr Anand is assisted by three other Veterinarians; Dr Natasha Anand, Dr Vishal Brahmbhatt and Dr Ajay Patel, all of whom hold a Masters Degree in Poultry Science.
